$100/Day Affiliate Marketers Chosen
Posted on June 8th, 2008 by Jason under Daily RamblingMake sure you enter the contest for the Creative Vado (you’ve got a very good chance of winning as there’s only one entry at the moment) or Blog Premiere’s big contest extravaganza
A week or so ago, I wrote up a short post about helping ten people get up to $100/day online. Now - I did not expect to receive many people interested, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people that showed their interest. All in all, I had over 100 different emails, most of them from the first day from people of all kinds of ages and nationalities. Sadly, I did have to limit the places to ten people - I promised I would work until you made $100, no matter how much work I need to do. Hopefully it would not require much work, but I’m willing to do whatever is required - once you learn the fundamentals, you’ll be able to tweak and expand this.
I have sent emails to the ten people selected; unless some of them pull out, they will be the ten I’m going to work with. For all those that I did not send an email to, I apologise - I will try and step up the money making ideas on here. Although this idea of mine is nothing revolutionary, and has been done before… it adds a twist that makes things so much easier and so much more profitable.
Some of you wanted to know how I chose people, so here you go:
Professionalism
How professional you are will define your business… and I only wanted people that were professional. If you sent me an email typed entirely in txt spk, I near instantly killed it.
Effort
Some people typed up essays; some people responded with a short line. Now, I did not ask for the former, however the more you tell me about you the easiest it is for me to decide - an email of one of the emails I got was “plz choose me I am ready” - seriously, come on.
I also took a good look at the reasons why I should choose people, as they said in the email - for example, some people were willing to supply an audio testimonial (which is always better than plain text) while others gave examples of how they as an example would appeal to the demographic I was targeting.
Speed Of Reply
If I had two people with similar quality or similar type (see below) replies, I chose the one that responded quickest.
Age
Although I think teenagers are pretty cool (being one myself), sadly having all teenage testimonials on a sales page would not do too well for business. I think half (or maybe even more) are teenagers on this project, but I had to choose people ranging from the higher end of the age scale to the lower end and due to this some missed out.
Gender
Out of all the emails received, I think only three were from women… one of them was written in txt spk, but the other two were well done and instantly selected. Having variation on a sales page (in the above example, age, in this case gender) is very good because it gives people something to relate to and if you do not try to incorporate people from all aspects you are leaving money on the table.
Experience
I chose both people with no experience at all (even though this means more work) and people more clued in in the world of affiliate marketing.
Availability
Some people talked about not being sure if they were available; some talked about being unable to do anything which cost money… I tried to make things as easy as possible (less than $10 startup and minimal time daily) and if people could not cope with that I could not cope with them
Reading The Damned Rules
Some people contacted me on instant messenger multiple times when I explicitly said not to; they were crossed off instantly.
If you did not get an email, you are not one of the ten and I apologise - however please do not ask me via instant messenger about it. For all those that got the email, add me to instant messenger; I have a short form that I need filled so I can keep track of everyone and we can start as soon as you guys are ready. I’ve already explained the ideas to one person and he thinks it’s fairly easy… let’s see what the rest of you think ![]()

Yes I am one of them who did not receive the opportunity to Earn $100/day . I can live with it. I am 57 yrs. now and have enough experiences in whats Life is all about.
I however do have some comments:
The professionality lies also in treating all involved with a level of Respect that one would also await.
When one is online the whole day and also advertises the YM as a contact possibility, then its just normal that one would use this modern way of communication.
Sure you can dictate your Terms of picking someone to be graceful - but be precise about your expectations regarding how long a text it should be and… and…
One more factor must be important. Just any opportunity to Earn is not enough - it must be compatible to the apptitudes of the Seekers !
But one lives and learns.
Wish you even more success in your online ventures.
Best wishes
Akaybee
Congrats to all those who got in, looking forward to hearing how it works out.
Good luck to those who got the opportunity. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Cool post. I like how you laid out how you chose people. It makes the process more transparent, and it helps people understand how to submit themselves for such a project in the future (should you undertake to do this again).

Congrats to all selected, hopefully there will be phenomenal knowledge (and wealth) gained for all those chosen. This is a great example Jason is putting in place. How often do you see products/techniques/ebooks being sold with the author as the only proof of concept? If Jason can indeed meet the expectation of bringing the ten individuals to the level he set as his goal it would make a for a great testimonial of the product he would eventually sell. More people should follow his example….
ughhh !! Cant believe I missed the earlier Post ! Oh well…. thats life
Jason , why dont you try to update what these 10 people are doing and how they are progressing …Maybe a thread on BlogPremiere dedicated to their doings for the day ….Shameless Promotion for BP too !
Congrats to the select few that got in. I didn’t get in but oh well, maybe the next contest I’ll be lucky.

@#2 comment. You’re 57 years old and you “did not receive the opportunity to Earn $100/day”. So what? What were you doing your whole life, waiting for this contest?
You say: “One more factor must be important. Just any opportunity to Earn is not enough - it must be compatible to the apptitudes of the Seekers !”
This guy is generously offering to personally walk 10 people through this until they make $100/day, and your response is that it can’t be just any opportunity?
Sorry to rant, but this self-centered handout mentality irks me.
Hi JF,
).
As I and hope you too, live in a democratic land and hence free views are allowed. Welcome to air your views - just to clarify: Its not self-centered handout (as you put it) rather my view on how to organize it even better. No question Jason is doing a great service to the online community - but like I said - we all can learn even more( that includes me too
Hope that you feel mentally much better now - now that you know what I meant.
Respectfully.
I failed in age and availability (I think) but that is fine. I can learn other ways. Thanks for the opportunity though!
