Want to increase your pagerank? Want better Search Engine rankings? Want to get your blog featured in front of more eyes? Want more visitors?

To make these things happen, you obviously need backlinks. You might think that link building is time consuming and hard, but it’s actually pretty easy and can take you even only a couple of minutes daily!

1. Comment to do-follow blogs! You might be already doing this. You can check if the blog has dofollow enabled with Firefox extension “NoDoFollow”. There are also websites and blogs that list you some dofollow blogs.

2. Submit your site to free directories. These directories might need you to link back to them to gain a free link.

3. Submit to paid directories! With paid directories, you can receive that same backlink with maybe some pr for a few bucks.

4. Write a guest post. That’s what I’m doing now. Write a good guest post to a popular blog and you will hopefully receive a nice link back to your site!

5. Run a contest and ask people to link back to your blog to receive extra entries. (Example in my blog)

6. Write a link bait post that will create a lot of discussion and backlinks.

7. Write an article or ebook and allow people to publish it as long as they leave your backlink there.

8. Use forum signatures

9. When commenting on a post on forums, attach a shameless little link to a related article on your blog.

10. Exchange links with another bloggers! Just make sure that you will exchange just a few links and that the sites fall into the same niche as yours!

11. Ask for links! Add a little text in the end of each of your posts that asks readers to link back to you if they liked the post.

12. Write a list. (Something like this!) and send it to Digg and stumble it. People love reading lists and those will get a lot of Diggs if the niche is right.

13. Be the first one to write about popular news and Digg those.

14. Ask another blogger to write a review about your site (free or paid).

15. Answer questions related to your niche on Yahoo! Answers and link to your site in the resources section.

16. If you got a really good article on a popular topic and add a link to it on Wikipedia. If it doesn’t get deleted, you will get a shitload of traffic.

17. Write a Squidoo page on your niche and link to your site.

18. Give away free eBooks, reviews or other items in exchange for a link.

19. Become a sponsor on a contest of another blog. You will probably get a link back from the holder of the contest and those that blog about the contest. The sponsored prize can be anything from eBooks to Paypal cash.

20. Buy a link building/blog commenting service. If you are really busy and can’t use three minutes daily to comment on your favourite blogs, you can buy a paid link building service from Digitalpoint for an example. These tend to be pretty expensive.. You could also buy text links from a broker like TextLinkAds.
