I’ve not been around long enough in the webmaster world to experience the frenzy of a Google PageRank update… until now, that is. I still don’t really understand the importance of PR… yeah, people value their links higher, and thus you can get more money off the suckers willing to fork out insane amounts for them, but other than that, it’s just a fooking number on a page that isn’t really beneficial - I’d rather rank #1 for ‘make money online’ than have a PR10 (both of which are very far away at the present moment in time :) ). Yesterday was the update… and brought a PR3, which is nothing spectacular, but decent enough I guess. I’ve got to rewrite the Advertising page now, and do a few other things because of it; only nofollow links though (for advertising). By the way, I have the dofollow plugin installed for comments, so from now on every single comment you make will be a PR3 backlink to a site of your choice :)

I also finished my latest report - played around with the $7 Script as I was going to sell it to build up a subscriber base (and thus offer 100% commission to affiliates) but it was a bit too complicated for yours truly and I decided to give it out free. Enjoy it as a New Year present from The University Kid Dot Com; you will have to sign up to my list at this link to get it; you can unsubscribe after you receive the report but I suggest you don’t as I’ll be following it up with a few more money making methods.

The autoresponder takes a bit long (30 minutes) to send the email out… I’ve sent them an email asking about it. As for who I used, I used Email Aces (aff link) - apart from the slight delay, they’re relatively easy to use. They take Paypal - Aweber/Getresponse don’t and thus it was easiest to signup with Email Aces; at $5 startup and then $15 a month (the package I chose) it’s not that bad considering you can make it back with one email if you have enough subscribers. I currently have around 35 people subscribed to the list, which is pretty decent - my aim is to build up a 10,000 subscriber base by the end of the year (which is definitely doable, I think). Redirect your friends at the site and help me out :).

Last but not least good ole Mike Huang at Bloggin-Ads is having a massive contest with some pretty f**kin’ nice prizes - it’s also pretty easy to enter. Up for grabs are a ton of 125 x 125 ad spots, 100 One Buck Wiki pages, an eBook donated by yours truly along with a whole lot of other things; you get an entry for posting a comment of one of the sponsors blogs (ie this blog) so get started.
