The First Day Of Studying - Guess Who Failed Miserably?
Posted on December 18th, 2007 by Jason under Daily RamblingAlright, if you read yesterday’s post you’ll have known that I’ve got exams in a couple weeks - anyways, today was my first day of ’studying’ - heck, I failed; miserably. waking up early (for me!
) at 9:45, I went off for a bath, then sat on my arse in front of the computer for a short while. When time started ticking by, I promised that I’d start studying at 11:00, which soon became 1:30 and then 4:30 - after going to the gym, it was time for dinner soon enough and that meant that it was getting late; I now find myself watching the football game without a minute spent studying. Yeah, I downloaded a question paper but hey - that took me a couple minutes to do and I’ve written nothing on it - not even my name! After today’s pretty fookin’ crappy attempt, I’ll be trying to do better tomorrow - the football ending at around 1:30 am (and meaning I’ll wake up at around 12 tomorrow) isn’t helping much, but heh.
I do occasionally write ‘useful’ posts for webmasters - anyways, you can take a look at one such example; the review I did for Entrecard on Webmaster Discounts. Entrecard is sending me some pretty decent traffic - yeah, a lot of it is just the card droppers who stay for a couple seconds and go, but a few people have found this blog through Entrecard and wouldn’t have otherwise, which is always good. I’ve risen to a decent position in the ‘Make Money Online’ category, and am slowly increasing - the higher I move, the better traffic I get.
As for the competition, I sent out copies of Thomas Sinfields’ Beginners Guide to Blogging and my Lazy Riches guide today; - I’ll send out copies of the other eBook tomorrow. Apologies for the delay, but I do have an explanation, for the sponsored prizes at least - I want to send a list of winners all at once to whoever’s sponsored them (rather than say four emails for four winners, as that’ll just irritate them) and most people haven’t collected their sponsored prizes. They have a couple hours to do so (comment on the post a couple scrolls below), otherwise the prizes go up for redraw; again, I’m sorry but I have no control over the people who decided to enter and win but not collect their prizes. Ah well - more for the rest of you guys, I guess
Time to concentrate on the football - it’s Arsenal v Blackburn (at Ewood Park) in the Carling Cup. I’m a diehard Arsenal fan, and have been for eight or so years (since I got into football); anyways, we’re top of the league and looking good. More tomorrow!

dammit, 3-2 as i speak… and down to 10 men with a reserve side out
you gotta love the arsenal style of play!
I started rooting for Arsenal when I first went to London. My cousins are diehard Arsenal fans as well, and told me to be an Arsenal fan. As I supported no other team, I decided to support them. My favorite player was O’Henry.
Lucky old you, Arsenal won, won’t be the same story if you get Everton in cup
Have not been able to contact you via YM! at all Jason.
Will be collecting the prize today
LOL Jason, you sound just like me. My last exam is tomorrow at least, i’ll be able to catch up to you after then.
You sound just like me, you want to do something then you want to go on the computer to do one thing then it turns into several hundred different things
Exactly how much traffic do you get from entrecard?
Did you have better luck studying today? Dude, when are your finals? I have University finals right now. What exams do you have?
I’ve got exams for University Life (yes, that’s a course… and it’s hard as hell), Islamic Culture, Math (argh!), Statistics and ICT. Fun!
Exams are in January. I studied 20 minutes more yesterday than the day prior…
oh..! so you have Islamic culture as a compulsory subject?! Math is seriously …(argh)! i dont even know M of it!
well being a university kid myself i can understand how difficult its for you to get into studies with internet/other stuffs interrupting..Huh
just try to increase the time..20min 1 day..40 min…likewise (do not care if you can study or not!!)
Do not worry, you will do well on your exams. I’m excellent in Math, English, and Stats. So if you need help, then give me a shout!
Hopefully, you can study over the weekend. Do not prolong studying! I usually always leave studying to the last minute, and then I end up staying up all night studying.
