Sorry for the swearing guys. :)

How much money is your integrity worth?

For some - not much. Not much at all.

Most in the blogosphere will have heard of the Reverse Funnel System - you’ll see their ads on around.. 85% of blogs in this niche today, and the thing is… 90% of those people do not know what they are promoting.

If you promote something to your readers without knowing what it is, you are a moron. Sorry, but that’s the way I see it. ;)

Unlike other rubbish that you’ll find in the webmaster industry, the Reverse Funnel System is slightly… higher priced than most products. You need to pay forward $50 just to get more information about it, and then $3,000 if you want to join the program.

$3,050… now that’s a sum, isn’t it? However, that’s just the beginning, as that amount guarantees you nothing - you still have to buy advertising for the program, advertising that could cost anywhere between $10 - $2,000+ dollars (on their sales page, they recommend having $2 - $5k startup capital).

Of course, this “product” (which is related to travel) that you promote pays well - it pays $1,000 upwards, as well as $1,000 downwards. So in reality, the value of the product itself… isn’t worth more than $1,000.

Now, anything with a commission worth more than a couple of dollars will see people promote it, but when you have something that pays out a commission of $1,000, people are going to promote it heavily.

It all started out with the king of ripping off his readers, or John Chow, who did a review a few days ago… now he has a few (thousand) fanboys who cling on to his every word so obviously they started promoting the Reverse Funnel System themselves.

To give you some idea of the level of idiocy Chow inspires in the blogosphere, I’ve received more than fifteen combined requests to talk about the RFS over the last four days on TUK, paid requests of course. Ranging from a review with someone else’s affiliate links inserted to a peel away ad, an inline ad and the all too common 125 x 125 ads. All rejected, sadly.

People are hyping up the crap out of this program, just so that they can hopefully get the commissions - they are never going to though.

I’m talking about blogs where the blogger makes less than $10/day or similar, and then decides to promote the crap out of the RFS when they cleared don’t a) have the money to buy it and b) would not be able to make money with it even if they did. This is not a system for newbies.

I’ll give you a direct quote of the above madness - taken from another blog that is slightly lesser off than this one:

“When using this system, the only thing you’ll need to do to rake in say, $1,000 per day in sales, is send a constant stream of prospects through the reverse tunnel. It’s not even that hard to do, either.”

Really? If $1,000 per day in sales was easy to do, we’d all be pretty damned happy with life and none of the rest of you would have full time jobs

If that was unique, fine, but you’ll see other reviews, talking about how good this system is, how easy it is to make money, why you should joinfrom people that have clearly never used it.

If you see a review about the Reverse Funnel System that talks about how good it is, especially if it’s talking about how good it is for newbies, feel free to call them an idiot in the comments section of that post. I hate people who take advantage of those that don’t know any better, and the tools promoting the Reverse Funnel System are amongst the worst kind (as they are promoting a $3,000 worth item, money that could be used to start quite a few projects online).

I’m going to talk about an easier model to make money over the next few days - that is website flipping, which requires less than $10 to start up and can make you hundreds of dollars. I’m also going to talk about eBooks, which requires nothing to startup and can make you thousands of dollars (I’ve made thousands, and if I can do it anyone can). As long as you build something valuable, you’ll rake in the cash.

Last but not least, I’m going to try a little bit of affiliate marketing soon - just got accepted into Market Leverage (after been repeatedly told to do so by Max @ Money Bites  ) and am going to try out some of their offers - you know, the whole email/zip submit thing. Having a credit card leaves you open to so much more opportunities in internet marketing now, doesn’t it :)
