Been well overworked today, but this post should amuse those of you involved with the system. :)

Before I start, well… you need to take a look at the below screenshot - it speaks for itself.

As you can see, the most expensive blog costs… 262,144 credits… per day. Considering I have around 1,000 at the moment, that is a lot of dropping.

The introduction of the Entrecard credit exchange is what will kill Entrecard.

I will be extremely surprised if it is still around in six months, or a year even.

They are still working on things, but as far as I could tell when I talked to a couple of them in their Live Chat…. they’re deluded. I do believe Entrecard was a great idea, and hats off to Phirate and Graham for thinking it up, but seriously - they have no idea how to monetize it.

As long as you leave yourself open to a third party, Entrecard will always be undercut - mainly by those living in third world countries. Has anyone heard of World of Warcraft gold farmers?

I will be dropping the widget fairly soon, and I suspect quite a few others will - it will be interesting to see what they can do to stabilise this, because at the moment, the old system was way better. Even though I didn’t drop.

Anyways, sorry guys - I don’t really have a lot to say, but just wanted to share an image that some of you would find amusing - guess the 15,800 credits I gave away in my contest (which was worth roughly $80 in old terms) now counts for… nothing.

Contest

I have updated the contest post (did it early today, so if you claimed anything after that do not worry as I will update again. People have about 2-3 days left to claim prizes; I already mentioned this there, but all unclaimed prizes will go to Blog Premiere. Usable ones, that is; the rest will be discarded. I’m sorry I haven’t sent stuff out, but the problem is that many prizes had more than one winner, and say out of three winners one claimed, and the other two haven’t - I cannot do anything until the deadline for the two to claim / the two actually claim is up, as I don’t want to irritate sponsors by constantly emailing them. Keep tight, it’ll be sorted out soon enough.

Those of you with prizes that I’m in charge of (not sponsored by anyone else) I’d appreciate if you add me on instant messenger, would save a tonne of time. :)

Moving Hosting

I’m in the process of moving hosts to JaguarPC.com - they’ve been around since 1998 and have stellar reviews from what I can see. I also like their live support - every single request I had was answered by live chat within less than a minute, and support tickets were followed up fairly quickly too.

I will not recommend their actual hosting service yet, as I have no idea how good it is - George is helping me transfer Blog Premiere (so if it is down, I apologise :D ) at the moment and TUK will be moved soon enough - if it goes down, you know why. Although Hostcan’s support was exemplary, for some reason their server did not match up with my IP address, leaving me unable to login.

Emails may not work, and I’ve been receiving a few of them from you guys, so if you want anything, email me at my Gmail address and not TUK email address. MSN/Yahoo is there too, of course.

Anyways, I have a bit of work to do so a short post for today; if you want something to read/watch over, take a look at yesterday’s 2,000+ word post that raised a few eyebrows ;)
