If you have a website and want to generate some buzz, a review on TUK is a great option for you. At an affordable rate, I'll review your website, pointing out both the good and the bad. Take a look at some I've done in the past -
Just got an email from Daniel Scocco at Daily Blog Tips letting me know that Blogging Idol 2 will be launching soon… apparently it’s been there for a couple days (post was written October 27th) but I had no idea since I’ve not kept up with blogosphere news of late.
I particated in the first one, and it was quite a bit of fun… although I didn’t win (came 11th, I think), it made me think out of the box and was THE catalyst for me going from around 420 subscribers then to over 1,000 subscribers now. I found some new bloggers that I wouldn’t have otherwise, and it was basically free promotion, since I got visits from the competition page as well as a few links from other bloggers talking about the competition.
Any blog with under 2,000 subscribers can participate, so I will be this time… there are currently around $4,500 “worth” of prizes including quite a bit of cold, hard cash.
The good thing this time is that it works on a scoring system, and not just the blog with the highest RSS count wins… RSS feed subscribers are easy to game, and in this case this isn’t really an issue.
Also, no paid promotion is allowed, meaning that everyone is on an even footing - it’s not the blogger with the biggest budget that wins. Points are mainly given for innovative ideas to boost feed count, so even if your ideas don’t work as well as you wanted, you could still end up the winner.
You don’t lose anything but time and it’s a great motivator to get off your butt and work on promoting your blog… competition is always good.
Also, the blog design first draft for TUK was recently completed and it looks mostly good. I’ve asked for a few changes, but would love insight from any on here - ping me on MSN or Yahoo messenger and I’ll let you take a look.
You can enter Blogging Idol 2 by emailing Daniel through his contact form. You’ve got till midnight on October 30th!
A few of you know that I started out making a reputation (before I started this blog) by selling information products in the “internet marketing” industry… basically, the industry that people hate.
I made good money off them, but decided to move out of it because I was making better money (and having more fun!) in other areas.
However, I’ve decided to re-enter the IM product niche, for this one launch at the very least… I doubt I’ll continue after it’s done, but I think this is something that will help you guys.
This blog has information that, if packaged together, could be sold for thousands of dollars. I’m not exaggerating on this, as I’ve sold coaching classes relevant to some of the topics discussed on here for fairly high amounts.
The problem with blogs, is that things are spread out, and rarely in order… sometimes, newbies just need a place where everything is laid out in step by step format. Other courses tend to cost a shitload of money, and don’t tend to be very useful… here’s where I come in. This will be a website flipping product, and unlike the last one where I delayed and slacked off and ended up never getting it created, this one has already been written.
For a newbie getting started, one that has only a few hundred to spend… paying anything over $50 for a product can be very difficult, especially considering that s/he could get their first website setup for $50 or get around 500 clicks (or more) through PPC for that $50. This product that I will be releasing soon will be aimed at newbies, and will walk you through the standard website flip that will sell for $100 or more.
To test this out, I had one of my students sell his first website using the exact steps listed in the report… the website sold for $197 in around six hours and took him less than half an hour to get together. That’s very good money relative to time put in.
So far the product is almost 40 pages long, and I plan on putting this on Clickbank when done for around $47; however before I do so I’ll offer it to the general market to get some reviews at a much lower price, probably around $15. Of course, it will come with a full money back guarantee, some light after sales support etc.
What I will be doing, is launching this product and then walking you guys step by step through the launch process. So after all this is done, you guys can learn how to create your own products, as well as a link to a sensational sales page designer I use that charges relative peanuts and the other sources I use.
This product should be launched around the 1st of November, depending on how fast said designer gets back to me with the finished graphics. Just wanted to let you guys know, build a little bit of ‘hype’ before hand and motivate myself to get this launched. I don’t like traditional sales hype, so will not be marketing this as ‘quit your day job’ gimmick crap… however this is a proven system that anyone can use with success, one that I’ve used to make myself a fair amount of income as well as various others.
IMPORTANT QUESTION: I will be including one bonus eBook, custom written by me with the product, on a website flipping related topic… I wanted to know if any of you had something specific you’d like covered, or just want me to go with the flow. Feel free to make any suggestions etc, you guys will learn a lot from this whether you buy the product or not.
All blogs in this niche with more than 200 subscribers qualify for a free copy if they’re willing to write a review of this… contact me if interested, this is going to be big.
This is a paid review and only a little influenced by me being paid to write it. If you are interested in ordering a review for your company, please do so through this link.
There are dozens of affiliate networks out there… some bad, some good, some great, and publishers can often find it difficult to decide on which one to use.
Motive Interactive recently gave their network an entire revamp, and ordered a paid review on this blog to let people know about it - they’re already one of the trusted affiliate networks in the industry, but with this advertising surge it looks like they’re aiming to become the best.
Dubbed Advent 2.0, Motive Interactive’s interface definitely has the futuristic look - they’ve gone for web 2.0 and its worked, with their backend one of the best I’ve ever seen. I logged in and had a look around, and they appear to have a fair amount of offers, ranging from your standard email / zip submits to offers that pay around $30 - $50.
However, I’m not here to talk about aesthetics - here’s three things that I saw in the email I got about them that YOU should be interested in, as they’re three reasons why Motive Interactive should be looked at before other affiliate networks.
Highest Payouts. Of course, all ad and affiliate networks tend to offer the ‘highest payouts’… but with Motive Interactive, this is actually true. If you find that another network is offering you a better price, all you have to do is let them know and they’ll beat it. With offers specifically hand picked for you by one of the most experienced networks in the business (they’ve been around since 2003) you should be able to make money with them if you’re willing to make a go of it.
5.5% Referral Commissions. The previous highest was around 5% from Market Leverage… however Motive Interactive offer you 5.5% commission on anyone you refer to their network, as long as they don’t go more than a year inactive. As an example, this means that if you refer someone that goes on to make $100/day, you’ll net yourself $165 per month for doing nothing.
Reliable and Negotiable payment schedule. Motive Interactive offer weekly and net-15 payments - now for the former, this is probably for top affiliates only… but the latter isn’t too bad (that’s two payments per month). Other affiliate networks tend to be net-45 or even more, and although they do make it quicker for the top affiliates, you’re not likely to be one of those starting out. Here you can invest comfortably into your affiliate marketing efforts, knowing that if you perform, payment will come to you right on time.
Those are three major things that I liked, but there are some others - they have an easily searchable interface, which you can categorize based on payouts, niche, distribution type and so on. Their rewards program starts at 1%, but raises to 2% if you do well - when you’re making that much money, the rewards don’t tend to mean much but anything extra is always nice.
The last thing (but certainly not the least important) thing that I’m going to mention is their real time tracking… something that is extremely important when you’re running pay per click campaigns or email marketing ones. Basically, your stats update in real time, that is clicks, revenue and so on - you can use this and compare it to the figures that they supply you with (like how the rest of the network on average is doing with certain offers) to supercharge your affiliate marketing efforts.
Here’s a screenshot of their offer search panel:
As you can see, using it is fairly easy. What Motive Interactive also allow is for you to ‘feature’ certain offers on your homepage of your affiliate account… so you can keep the offers you’re interested in running firmly in view.
You can watch the below seven minute video for a video tour of their backend… do let me know how sweet you think it looks
If you are interested in signing up for Motive Interactive (and I suggest you do so, as they’re a trusted network and having more options is always good) you can sign up through this link.
If you’ve got any questions or doubts, feel free to leave a comment - an employee of Motive Interactive will probably check this review from time to time and be more than willing to answer anything you want to ask them.
Every day 90% of you read blogs… and do nothing. I’m similar, I’m a lazy person and with new projects need something to get me started.
Most of you will need a motivator, a reason to get started… the world of flipping, both domains and sites is hot right now and the longer you wait, the more income and fun you’re missing out on.
Your kick up the backside is here!
For the next few days, GoDaddy is offering a one-time sale on .COM domains - you can pick up one for just $2.19 - that’s a pretty decent price considering they normally cost $7-10. The offer is one time per account, and will not last long. I purchased one two minutes ago so can confirm that it works.
.COM adds value to a website, and a .COM domain is a lot more valuable than its same .INFO domain. If you do not have the money, do some menial labour - all you need is $2.19 which you should be able to get within a few minutes.
Head on over to GoDaddy now and use the coupon code 199TEST to get your .COM domain for $2.19
Even if you don’t plan to flip the website, it’s a great offer if you want to start a new blog, new project etc. As mentioned earlier, I don’t think this will last too long and even if it will, you should stop procrastinating… so get in today.
Everyone loves saving money, and here’s a great chance for you to get started… remember, I’m even offering a little bit of free web hosting so you really have no excuses.
You don’t even have to build a site, you should just flip the domain straight up. Look for 2-3 word combinations that are brandable, and you’ll make ten times your investment easily. Good luck!
Haven’t posted for six days, which is mainly due to things heating up here. Anyways, had time for a short one.
The problem with the Internet is that although it’s so broad, meaning that you can succeed doing almost anything if you work hard enough at it (and have the right amount of luck) it is also insanely competitive. Let’s just take a look at this starting out from a writers perspective (which is how I started) - when you start out, with no experience it is very difficult to charge more than the industry standard $0.01 per word, especially with hundreds, if not thousands charging the same if not lower.
You get outbid by people living in countries where the cost of living is less, and thus people that don’t need to make as much to have a comfortable standard of living.
What if you could eliminate having to worry about those people?
You can.
I’ve talked on here about offline marketing quite a bit… the Revolution magazine theme coupled with a logo designer and local companies is one of the easiest sells you’ll ever find. However, how about selling locally - from online to offline?
Recently, I found a local auction website, which is apparently pretty big… I’d heard of it before, but hadn’t really looked at it too seriously. The auction site is Souq.com, which is basically an online marketplace like eBay.
I thought that Dubai wasn’t really developed with online business, but saw they had an eBook section… with more than 300 odd eBooks! Now, I looked into that a little more closely, and came across a user that had quite a few of them. All of them were the standard private label rights eBooks you can find a dime a dozen - dog training, cooking, dating etc.
However, I came across a user that was making a sale or two a day… at around 35 DH (which is around $10 USD) per eBook. Nothing spectacular, but by taking ten minutes to copy and paste in the sales pages of each PLR product, he is making consistent income for the last year or so.
What another user is doing is burning the eBooks onto CDs… which would have cost less than a dollar. He’s charging double what the other one is, and although not making as many sales he’s still making a few hundred USD monthly.
Local markets are a lot less competitive… I’m going to go the whole PLR route, but maybe a little more professionally with print advertising. It’ll definitely be interesting to try out. There are just so many ideas you can look at, and if you’re creative in your own country (or city) I don’t see why you can’t have some fun (and hopefully make some money too!).
It’s pretty obvious that local markets are willing to pay more than your online customers, who are used to Googling bargains and paying less, even though the benefits may be the same. Getting an experienced webmaster to pay you anything more than $100 for a simple HTML five page website is near impossible, but getting a local company to pay you $1,000 is easy.
If your own city doesn’t have an auction website, or a main go-to blog, why not look at setting one up? Things that seem common to you because you’ve had online experience may be novel ideas in your local community… there was quite a hot product on the Warrior Forum a few months back about a non-tech person who was making around $10,000 a month locally by basically selling ads on a souped up proxy.
Don’t be afraid to test things, see how it goes. I will update here if things go well (or even if they tank horribly, which is definitely possible. We’ll see. ). Hope you guys took something from this one, enjoy the weekend.
